Kia Ora!

My name is Ralph and I am originally from a small city in the Philippines, where art is a culture. I have seen all sorts of artists hone their crafts; from painters, sculptors, musicians, film makers and photographers. At the age of 6, I was attracted to music and from there I started playing when I was 11. I then jumped on to the local rock scene and played music for almost half my life, until I decided to leave the rock and roll life and move to New Zealand to join my family in 2008.

My photography began in late 2010, where my interest started in portrait and fashion photography. With my interest in the outdoors and traveling, I then fell into the world of landscape photography, which led my work to be featured in a few magazine publications online and worldwide, showcasing the beauty of New Zealand Landscapes. In 2012, I started second shooting at weddings with various photographers and filmed with talented cinematographers/videographers. It then lead me towards my passion for engagement and wedding photography. In 2013, I was awarded the Portrait Photographer of the Year by the Institute of Photography in London, UK.

As a documentary art wedding photographer, I have incorporated my skills from portraiture and landscape photography with my documentary style of weddings into one piece of cinematic looking output. I tend to break some photography rules to achieve a unique looking image. I enjoy interpreting and reflecting the intimate details of weddings, and turning it into visual memories to last

We are based in Auckland, but we travel around too. Our approach is laid back and we keep the vibe comfortable and relaxed. So if you like our style and keen to be photographed the nontraditional way, then I'd be happy to hear about your wedding plans

OUR CLIENTS EXPERIENCE

Gray + Bronte

I don't think there are words to express how over the moon I am with my experience with Ralph. His work is beyond talented & he really captured every raw, happy moment at our wedding. The man himself & his amazing partner were both so lovely & fun, which made everyone feel really comfortable and meant his photos came out incredibly natural. From the first meeting till the arrival of our photos, he made the whole experience extremely easy, straight forward and made sure to keep us in the loop the whole time.
